RAWALPINDI - In a bid to resolve the problems faced by the business community and public, the process of registration of land, recovery of property tax as well as the approval of commercial and residential plans would be made easier and solid steps would be taken in this regard. The problems related to the Punjab govt would also be brought into the notice of higher authorities to make easier the rules in this connection while the representative of World Bank should approach to the federal government to mitigate the maladies.
District Coordination Officer (DCO) Saqib Zafar said this at a meeting with the World Bank Representative and City District Government Rawalpindi (CDGR) officers in his office on Wednesday. The meeting was also attended by ADC (G) Saif Anwar Jappah, RCCI representative Raja Muhammad Aamir, Ex President RCCI Tahir Mashadi, DG RDA Chaudhry Naseer Ahmed, Director Excise & Taxation, Rawalpindi, TMO Potohar Town and other officers.
Addressing the meeting, the DCO said that report prepared by the World Bank in which the indicators about the problems faced by the business community and public were indicated and mentioned. This report was prepared in 2009 and it should be up dated now so that these were addressed properly and speedily to improve state of affairs of business community and public as well. On this occasion, the representative of World Bank informed the meeting that 183 countries of the world had been visited by the World Bank representatives and a report about their economy was prepared and circulated in all the countries. On the follow up of that report, CDGR was requested to convene a meeting in this respect. DCO said that City District Government were all out to solve the problems of the business community so that their trade could be promoted and flourished.
