PAF chief lauds college for earning world recognition


ISLAMABAD - Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force, awarded cash prizes to the faculty and students of Fazaia Inter College Islamabad for earning distinction to be chosen as the “Super School” in entire Asia by Royal Commonwealth Society.
The college earned the rare honour for Pakistan in general and PAF in particular for contributing more than 150 essays in the Essay Writing Competition arranged by Royal Commonwealth Society, says a press release issued here on Wednesday.
While talking to the students and faculty members of Fazaia Inter College Islamabad, the Air Chief appreciated the hard work put in by the Fazaia students to earn this international recognition, not only for their own institution but for the entire nation.
He also appreciated the guidance provided by the Professor Iffat Hashmi in motivating and encouraging the students for participating in the essay competition.
In recognition of earning the distinction, the Royal Commonwealth Society also chose the Fazaia Inter College Islamabad to celebrate the diamond jubilee event in connection with 60th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth’s coronation.
To celebrate the Diamond Jubilee event, various colourful events were planned at the college.
 which included the poster competition with a theme “Beauty in Diversity”, face painting competition and a band display.
Large number of students and faculty participated in the event.
