RAWALPINDI  - District Coordination Officer (DCO) Rawalpindi Saqib Zafar has said that the parking plaza of Fawara Chowk should be made completely functional and Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) AND Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA), Rawal Town, should make efforts to solve the problems of the contractor of Suzuki vans and wagons to minimise the traffic problem at Fawara Chowk.
He said all the wagons and suzuki vans must be parked properly in the parking plaza so that the traffic load at Fawara Chowk could properly be controlled.
He said this in a meeting held here in his office. Director General, RDA Ch. Naseer Ahmed, ADCG/Administrator Rawal Town Saif Anwer Jappa, Deputy Director RDA Masood Ahmed, DO, I & S Rawal Town Touseef Ahmed and representatives of Suzuki vans and wagons contractors attended the meeting.
DCO said implementation of agreement between RDA and constrictors of Suzuki vans and wagons be ensured to solve the problems. After the construction of parking plaza, improvement in traffic flow at Fawara Chowk was witnessed, he said adding traffic police should also assist the authorities concerned to control the traffic problems and public transport should not be allowed to stay outside the parking plaza.
He said the instructions must be implemented in letter and spirit so that the citizens could be provided relief and they could be facilitated.
