Shining OPF college students awarded

ISLAMABAD - The OPF Girls College F-8/2 held its prize distribution ceremony on Thursday wherein high achievers were awarded prizes.

To this prestigious event Sheikh Salahuddin, MNA and Member of Board of Governors of Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF), congratulated all the brilliant students and their parents for their success.
On the occasion, Principal Shahina A. Masood highlighted the academic and co-curricular achievements of the college. She mentioning multiple activities of the college students, said that OPF college has shown excellence in academics at all letters. ‘It has produced magnificent results in Federal Board, Cambridge University and the University of Punjab’.  To acknowledge the achievements of students, shield and certificates were awarded.
There were five categories of high achievers - SSC, HSSC, O Level, A Level and MA Education. In SSC examination 214 students acquired A+ and A grades. 103 students of HSSC gained A+ and A grades. Shiza Malik in FSc Pre-Medical got overall 3rd position in the Federal Board and 2nd position in Pre-Medical group. Moreover, five students of OPF have been placed in the merit list by the Federal Board.
In the O-Level exam, 49 students have been awarded certificates on achieving on A*and A grades. Mahlaqa Noor of O-level appeared for 13 subjects and she got 10 A* and 3As. Hajra Khan of O-level got Straight 8 A*in Cambridge exam.
The OPF College has been privileged to achieve an excellent landmark in its Maiden M.A Education Programme of the University Of Punjab. Four students of M.A Education secured first division including Mehak Batool 68 per cent,Sadaf Aslam 64 per cent, Faza Matloob 62 per cent and Sumnbul Mehmood 61 per cent. Certificates were Awarded to them. It has been a quarter of a century that O.P.F is shining like a guiding star. Since its establishment in 1986 OPF makes 25 successful and glorified years.
 A documentary was screened illustrating the past 25 years of the college. It depicted the luminous reputation of being the only girls’ institution providing quality education and boarding facilities.
