RAWALPINDI – If you are a young man and drive a car then beware of giving lift to any lone woman standing along with road in the city as she may trap you and deprive you of cash, cell phone and some time the car with the help of her two her male accomplices after hitchhiking with you.

A gang led by a young woman and two of her male accomplices has been active in looting young motorists in heavily guarded Police Lines area, where offices of Commissioner, District Coordination Officer (DCO), City Police Officer (CPO), SSP (Operations) and SP Saddar Circle are also located.
The technique of crime of the gang is that at evening times the girl wearing a veil uses to stand at Katcheri Chowk on Airport Road, near FBR Office, to stop cars for a lift. Her accomplices, riding a black car and equipped with guns, stand at a little distance to watch all the activity.
When motorists stop their cars and agree to give her a lift, they immediately start chasing the car in which girl sits. While traveling, the girl seduces the owner of the car while her accomplices who are also in chase swiftly intercept the car and hold the young motorist impersonating themselves as officials of any intelligence agency or police cops and take the driver to some of their hideout.
Or the gang uses to kidnap motorists and take them to their hideout or leave them high and dry after looting them on the way.
On Wednesday night at 8:15pm a young man Babar Hussain fell prey to the “dacoit beauty and her gang” when he was going to Islamabad on his car. At FBR wagon stop near Police Lines, the limits of Police Station (PS) Civil Lines, a young woman signaled him for a lift. When it was given, the girl started seducing Babar and insisted him to take her to some place for pleasure.
However, Babar did not allow the girl to net him after smelling the rat.
While talking to TheNation on Thursday, Babar said that he was going to Islamabad when a girl asked him for lift. He said that he gave her the lift. He said that the young girl introduced herself Mehwish a “beautician” at Scheme III. He said that she offered her developing illicit relations with her but he refused.
He said that he stopped the car along with roadside near Ammar Chowk when within no time, a black Honda Civic car also stopped near him. Two men came down and pointed pistol on him introducing them as police cops.
He said that he did not lose his senses and told the “cops” that he was also a crime reporter in a national daily after listening which the two men got surprised and asked the girl to step down the car. Then, the three fled towards Airport in their car, registration number of which could not be read owing to darkness, he said.
When asked as to why he (Babar) has not lodged a complaint with police, he replied “Allah Almighty saved me from the hands of the looters and it is enough for me. I don’t want to become a shuttlecock between police stations as I know police do nothing but manhandle the complainant”.
SP CIA Syed Haseeb Shah, when contacted and told the whole saga, expressed his wonder over the incident. He said that right now, he was on special duty in Islamabad but would launch investigation into the case today.
