‘Opportunists’ drive self-styled Qadri to nowhere

ISLAMABAD – All of them had their interests, they were not brave enough to take the load so they encouraged him to confront Supreme Court and Election Commission but when he failed, they all left him to collect all affront coming from all sides. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf, Pakistan Muslim League-Q and Mutahidda Qaumi Movement betrayed Dr Tahir ul Qadri though he deserved it.

Based on multiple events taken place during the last few weeks that include meetings of Dr. Qadri with different party representatives, certain quarters believe that Qadri was counting on the parties having same reservations regarding the Election Commission of Pakistan. They believe that Qadri is not even left in a position to call a long march in the country and make the citizens of any city hostage as he did earlier.
Earlier to the Dr Tahir ul Qadri’s landing in Pakistan, there was no party, raising finger on the ECP and all of them seemed satisfied except that MQM had reservations regarding delimitation process in Karachi.
1Chaudhry Brothers came forward to help him and the government to ink a deal for calling off his sit-in from D-Chowk, Islambad. Altaf Hussain in his different statements said that Qadri’s demands should be accepted though his party drew back its support to Qadri’s long march.
When Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Makhdoom Javed Hashmi met Qadri on February 6 and in front of media men they supported Qadri’s stance on EC, it made him feel a bigger leader who was supposed to lead all his supporters thus making him announce to go to SC for the dissolution of Election Commission.
Now after his failure in Supreme Court and what he did outside the court, there is no one found saying that Dr Tahir ul Qadri was right and the court should have accepted his petition and listened to him, rather all his opportunist friends are supporting Supreme Court’s stance and decision on the issue.
Certain quarters believed that though he deserved all this because whatever he had in his mind was not favourable for the democratic system in the country. Election was the most needed event to be occurred in the country at present to strengthen democracy in Pakistan and Qadri’s moves ostensibly were not supporting the system rather he was about to damage the system.
But at the same time they believed that some other parties were also responsible for all this happened to Dr Qadri. His failure whereas has cautioned them again to not to go against the system that has been restored in the country after a long ruling history of dictators.
