Naval chief calls on PM

ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf has said that his government attaches highest priority to strengthening the armed forces and adequately equipping them to meet all challenges.

The Prime Minister said this while talking to Admiral Muhammad Asif Sandila, Chief of Naval Staff who called on him at the PM House here on Thursday.
“Ensuring national security is our utmost responsibility and highest priority. All necessary resources will be provided to strengthen Pakistan Navy and enhance its professional capabilities.” said the Prime Minister.
The Premier said that Pakistan Navy has an important role in defending the maritime boundaries of the country and safeguarding our sovereignty in the high seas.
Admiral Muhammad Asif Sandila briefed the Prime Minister on the preparedness and professional matter pertaining to Pakistan Navy.
