CTP drive against pressure horns, tinted glass vehicles

RAWALPINDI – The City Traffic Police (CTP) Rawalpindi have launched a special drive against pressure horns, tinted glass and smoke emitting vehicles.

City Police Officer (CTO) Superintendent Police Syed Ishtiaq Hussain Shah told that strict action in accordance with the law is being taken against the traffic rules violators.
Vehicles are being impounded while challan tickets are also being issued for not obeying instructions against pressure horns, tinted glass and smoke emitting vehicles, he added.
Under the recently launched campaign against pressure horns, the drivers are being directed to remove pressure horns.
The CTO said under the drive, city traffic police would take strict action against the violators and special checking in this regard would continue.
The traffic rules are meant for the safety of the drivers and the passengers, he added.
He said, traffic rules must be observed on roads as these are for the safety of the drivers and other road users as well.
The CTO informed that special campaigns were launched in the past by the traffic police to educate road users especially motorists about observance of traffic rules which are for their own safety.
He asked the drivers to follow traffic rules, which make the journey on roads more safe and secure. 
Efforts are being made to persuade the road users in the traffic management and an awareness campaign is also being run for observance of traffic rules, he said stressing strict observance of traffic rules as only through this way, safe and secure journey on the roads could be ensured.
He said, the vehicles and motorcycles on roads without proper documents are also being impounded in the respective police stations.
