RAWALPINDI – Rawalpindi Arts Council organized a music recital performance by renowned Pride of Performance classical singers Ustad Badr-uz-Zaman and Ustad Qamar-uz-Zaman. The basic aim of holding the event was revival of classical music.

Senator Najma Hameed with Naheed Manzoor was the chief guest on the occasion while auditorium was jam packed with the people from twin cities.
Ustad Badr-uz-Zaman and Ustad Qamar-uz-Zaman showed outstanding performance which enthralled the audience and captured their minds and hearts. They performed difficult raags in an excellent manner which really mesmerized the audience. Raags were so fascinating that everybody lost themselves in their voices. Both the brothers are attached with the field of music from 1956.
Ustad Badr-uz- Zaman performs with his brother, Ustad Qamar-uz-Zaman, carrying forward the Pakistan’s own “Kasur Gharana” traditions of the art of Khayal music.
Senator Najma Hameed expressing her views at the occasion said that both the legend singers are a great asset of Pakistan who served the music more than half a century. Rawalpindi Arts Council always provided a quality entertainment to the people of this region, and its services are commendable in the field of music, drama, literature and fine arts, she said.
