ISLAMABAD – Atta Shad belonged to Balochistan but he earned an international repute as a major Pakistani poet through his unusual and versatile poetry.
Abdul Hameed, Chairman, Pakistan Academy of Letters remarked this on the occasion of Atta Shad’s death anniversary. He said that Atta Shad is equally popular in Urdu as well as Balochi. He has a considerable work in research on literature and culture to his credit. He also penned a number of dramas and his writings are an asset for Balochi as well as Pakistani literature.
