Rule of law must be upheld: Zardari

President Asif Ali Zardari has said rule of law must be upheld and conducive environment created for easy and speedy dispensation of justice.

Talking to a delegation of Pakistan Bar Council led by its Vice Chairman Akhtar Hussain in Islamabad on Monday he emphasized that the lawyers community must continue playing its role in ensuring that law of the land takes precedence over all other considerations.
Lauding role of legal fraternity in strengthening of democracy the President said the Government will continue to facilitate the lawyers in pursuit of their professional duties.
Vice Chairman PBC said that lawyers' community wanted to see democracy and rule of law flourish in the country. He said that the legal fraternity would continue supporting all constitutional and democratic steps of the Government.
The President directed the Law Minister to look into the problems of the lawyers for their early redressal.
