ISLAMABAD – The Police on Friday arrested seven outlaws from various areas of the city and recovered three pistols, two cars and looted items from their possession, a police spokesman said.
On a tip off, Industrial area police raided at the hideout of dacoits in sector I-9/4 and arrested three dacoits identified as Shaaban Iqbal, Rizwan Iqbal and Sajid Shah besides recovering three pistols and 14 rounds from them.
Aabpara police nabbed two thieves Sabir Shah, Haider Shah and recovered cash and stolen items from them. ASI Iftikhar Ahmed recovered a tempered vehicle (LYB-4204) from an accsued Ahmed Khan while ASI Abdul Hameed from Tarnol police recovered a car (LED-7876) with fake registration number from an accused Tanveer Hussain. Original registration number of this vehicle was traced as GK-278.
Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway. SSP Islamabad Yaseen Farooq has appreciated this overall performance and directed all police officials for effective patrolling as well as vigilance to curb activities of anti-social elements.
Meanwhile, Sihala Police Islamabad on Friday arrested 29 suspects during search operation in its various localities including Azeem Town , Model Town , Humak, Sihala Bazaar and other slum areas, a police spokesman said. According to details, IGP Islamabad Bani Amin Khan and SSP Islamabad Yaseen Farooq have directed for keeping vigilant eye on suspected elements.
As per their directions, teams of Sihala police station under supervision of its SHO Inspector Muhammad Bashir conducted search operation in various localities. Police teams checked more than 100 persons and nabbed a total of 29 suspects.
Investigation is underway from these nabbed suspects as they could not produce any authentic document for their identification.
SSP Islamabad Muhammad Yaseen Farooq has appreciated this performance and directed all police officials to intensify patrolling and keep vigilant eye on suspected elements.
