CDA foils lawyers’ encroachment efforts

ISLAMABAD  – CDA’s sports and culture department has submitted an application in Margalla Police Station against illegal efforts of lawyers’ fraternity to encroach football grounds of sector F-8.
Earlier illegal efforts by lawyers to set up their legal kiosks were foiled by traders, who expressed their immediate reservations and concerns to CDA officials. The CDA officials have made it clear that no illegal encroachments by any elements would ever be tolerated, including kiosks of legal fraternity. 
Meanwhile, Rawal Town Administration (RTA) has launched operation in Bara bazaar, Commercial Market and Raja bazaar against encroachment.
The administration seized three trucks and charged a fine of Rs 40,000 to the shopkeepers and hawkers.
Meanwhile, Rawal Town Municipal Administration (RTMA), in its ongoing operation against encroachments in the city, has confiscated two truckloads of goods and fined 40 encroachers. The RTMA also imposed Rs40,000 fine on shopkeepers in different markets for encroaching footpaths and roads in front of their shops.
On the directives of Administrator Rawal Town Saif Anwar Jappa, a team of the administration under the supervision of Tehsil Officer Regulation Aftab Chohan conducted the operation in different areas of the city including Sadiqabad, Raja Bazaar, Bara Bazaar, Benazir Bhutto Road (Murree Road) and Commercial Market. Meanwhile, the RTMA also confiscated three motorcycles parked by the motorcycle dealers on Circular Road.
