ISLAMABAD - “It’s appreciable, whatever CDA development plans are. I don’t want to get indulged in argument that what CDA has done so far in terms of development of Park Enclave, as I just want the reimbursement of two installments I have submitted with the CDA out of my hard-earned money against a plot in the Park Enclave.”
The reservations and criticism raised by the allottees on the occasion not only marred the ceremony but also added to the fast-sinking credibility of the civic agency.
Some of the allottees taking benefit of the presence of media not only painted a grim picture of the sorrow state of affairs of CDA in this particular case, but also presented some documentary evidences after alleging the city managers of altering the original layout plan of the housing society by converting the earlier promised green area into residential plots.
However, the hue and cry and continued demand for formation of some mechanism regarding reimbursement of accounted amount by the allottees was not enough to lure the sympathies of the Chairman CDA, who at one point observed, in a bizarre style, “Don’t be in revengeful mood. Kindly, continue to submit remaining installments of plots as per schedule so that CDA could expedite the development work.”
On the occasion, CDA officials also gave contradictory statements regarding alleged revised layout plan of Park Enclave. Though, Chairman CDA during the course of ceremony kept on saying that there was not alteration in original layout plan, but DG Planning was kind enough when he categorically refuted that the statement of CDA Chairman.
“Yes, we have introduced some amendments in the original layout plan. CDA has created more plots measuring 2-kanal each in the area and those will be advertised soon. However, the green area in the housing scheme will not be affected from that,” DG Planning Ghulam Sarwar Sindhu, who has been facing contempt of court proceedings against him in Islamabad High Court, said.
An allottee on the occasion claimed that CDA had created as many as 70 plots on ideal locations of the housing society after shifting allottees’ plots along the bank of seasonal nullah fall in the vicinity of housing scheme.
Later, CDA Chairman Engineer Farkhand Iqbal conducted the balloting of the Park Enclave plots. As many as 613 residential plots have been allotted through computerized balloting in Park Enclave.
The CDA Chairman, while addressing the ceremony, said that the development work in the Park Enclave would be completed at the earliest as per our commitment.
He said that work on security wall around Park Enclave is underway; adding that the remaining development work would be completed soon.
