ISLAMABAD – Federal Minister for Professional and Technical Training, Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada called a meeting with Managing Director of National Education Foundation (NEF), Nasar Hayat and took a strong notice of illegal promotions case of NEF Officers.

It was clandestinely manoeuvred by outgoing Director of Basic Education Community Schools (BECS), Brigadier Siraj in backdates of last year, says a press release here Thursday. Six project officers of NEF who cannot be promoted as per law of Project employees but they were promoted from 17 to 18 grade within one month, violating all the audit objections of the committee, and whole the matter kept secret by outgoing Director of NEF until those officers got stay order from Islamabad high court.
Federal Minister also advised M.D NEF to fight this case into Islamabad High Court against those officers by disclosing all the facts to the court. The Minister also constituted an enquiry committee under the chairman ship of MR. Ghulam Mahhiyuddin Marri, the member of Board of Governor to investigate the matter and take a stern action against those Officers who were illegally promoted and who were involved in this legal and moral corruption of one of the sacred institution of Education. The minister asked the MD, NEF to submit report as soon the enquiry is completed.
