Low voltage irks Pindi’ites

RAWALPINDI– In addition to the problem of frequent power outages, several areas of the city are receiving less electricity voltage that is irritating the masses.
This has given way to defect in electric appliances leading to financial loss of common people.
Consumers of many areas including sub-division Westridge have launched complaint for receiving lesser voltage of electricity, not only during the night but also in daytime.
They were of the view that the authorities have turned a deaf ear to their plight.
On the other hand, Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) has announced installation of power transformers to resolve the problem.
Citizens are of the view that Iesco was installing transformers in those areas where voltage of electricity was already up to the mark, while no step was being taken to attend to the grievances of affected people.
The affectees have demanded of the Iesco chief to take immediate action to better the current situation.
