RAWALPINDI – A 21-year-old girl, who contracted love marriage with a man she loved, has been shot dead by her brother in Chakbeli Khan, the area of Police Station Chontra, here on Wednesday. According to Sub Inspector (SI) Karamt Ali, who is investigating the murder case, Masta Bibi had left her family and married with a man Mian Khan some time ago. The newly wed couple later shifted to some unknown place whereas the family of the girl kept searching her, the police officer added.
He said that finally Fateh Khan, the brother of the girl, managed to catch up the girl and gunned down her.
After committing the crime, the assassin managed to flee from the crime scene whereas police later moved the dead body to the District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ) for postmortem, the Investigator said while talking to this scribe on phone.
Till the filing of this report, no case was registered by the police.
