Chemists fined over expired drugs sale

RAWALPINDI – During an ongoing campaign, a team of District Health Department (DHD) on Thursday issued challans to a chemist shop and pharmacy located at The Mall for allegedly selling expired drugs via unqualified staff.
According to details, a team of DHD, headed by Drug Inspector Naveed Ahmed, raided D-Care Pharmacy, D-Watson and Khattak Chemists at Al-Amin Plaza, The Mall.
The team found expiry drugs at D-Watson and D-Care Pharmacy and unqualified person to run the pharmacy. The drug inspector issued challan to them. However, the team did not find any unwarranted and expired drugs at Khattak Chemist.
