Minister for Interior Rehman Malik on Sunday welcomed a decision of Punjab chief minister Shahbaz Sharif to appear and record his statement in Supreme Court attack case and vowed to expose their corruption at all costs. Talking to media persons after attending a meeting to review security arrangements for the visiting Turkish PM, Rehman Malik said that the police would record Sharif brothers’ testimony in the way they wanted it to be. He also reiterated his stance that both Sharif brothers were involved in $32 million money laundering cases for which he would provide evidences soon. The scandals like lap top distribution, fake drugs and Sasti Roti schemes would be exposed, he claimed. Malik informed that Interpol had been working upon $32 million case and its facts would be brought before the public. The public money would be retrieved from the Sharif brothers at all costs, he added. “Shahbaz himself has admitted presence of extremists in southern Punjab while Musharraf’s sympathisers have joined the ranks of PML-N,” he said. He said due to PM’s indulgence in development projects across the southern Punjab, extremist activities had been controlled.
