Supreme Court (SC) has remarked no other way than law and constitution can be acceptable.
A 3-member bench of SC presided over by Justice Anwar Zahir Jamali took up for hearing the former care taker Prime Minister (PM) Mir Hazar Khan Khosa contempt of court case on Friday.
The court adjourned the hearing for indefinite period the matter of accepting or rejecting the clarification and unqualified apology rendered by former care taker PM Mir Hazar Khan Khoso in this case.
The court directed counsel for the former care taker PM that it be told if the unconditional apology would be enough much to serve the purpose after making illegal transfers and appointments or any other punishment can be there against him after fulfilling the legal formalities. This situation will continue if matters like this are abolished easily while the country can not afford steps like this at all. No other way than law and constitution can be acceptable.
Federal government presented all the record pertaining to transfers and appointments made during the period of interim government.
Arif Chaudhry counsel for former care taker prime minister Mir Hazar Khan Khoso told the court his client has tendered unqualified apology with regard to appointments and he has filed apology related papers in the court.
Justice Anwar Zahir Jamali remarked “ you please deliberate over the matter and tell the court if the matter will stand resolved by tendering apology only with regard to wrong deeds.
DAG Ali Zai told the court all the necessary documents had been filed in compliance with the orders of the court.
Arif Chaudhry said “ not only apology but we have made clarification with reference to our works.
The court adjourned the hearing of the case for indefinite period.
