RAWALPINDI - No arrest has been made by police so far in the murder case of a young couple and their seven-month-old daughter at Fauji Colony, the area of Police Station (PS) Pirwadhai.
Two days ago, the couple - Tasawar Hussain son of Sabir Hussain, his wife Sadia Perveen, 24, and their 7-month-old daughter - was brutally strangulated at their house in Fauji Colony.
The local police registered a murder case on the complaint of Allah Ditta, the brother of the deceased Tasawar, against the four accused, Farhat Nawaz, the brother of Perveen, her two uncles Khalid and Zulfiqar, the sons of Muhammad Siddique, and their another accomplice Dost Muhammad, son of Ghulam Muhammad, all belonged to Sandha Village, Teshil Malakwal, Mandi Bahauddin, under section 302 of PPc.
However, the police failed in nabbing even a single accused despite the passage of two days.
Sub Inspector (SI) Abdul Waheed, the investigation office of the case, told TheNation on Monday that so far he could not arrest any accused in the case. Nonetheless, police teams have been constituted which were conducting raids at all possible hideouts of the accused killers including in their houses in Mandi Bahauddin.
He said that the police took the mobile phones of the deceased couple into custody and requested the authorities concerned to obtain the data to trace out the killers.
Sharing the details, he said that Tasawar had tied his knot with Perveen by eloping her from Malakwal some one-and-a-half years ago, fueling the anger among family members of Perveen. Taswar and his wife started living with his brother Allah Ditta at I/11-1 Islamabad, the investigation officer said adding that in the meanwhile one Farhat Nawan, the brother of Perveen, traced the couple and started visiting their home giving an impression that he or other family members were not angry over this love marriage.
Waheed told that Farhat, who was living at Fauji Colony in a rented house, also insisted his sister and her husband to shift to near to his house. Six months before, the couple shifted in a rented room near Farhat’s house on the request of Farhat, the IO said adding that in the meanwhile Farhat and his uncles engineered a plan to take revenge from the couple for earning a bad name for the family.
In this way, Farhat, his two uncles and another man strangulated the couple and their infant child to death and fled.
He said that the police collected all the evidences from the crime scene and sent to Lahore for forensic examination. He hoped for earlier arrest of the accused killers.
Malik Arshad, Station House Officer (SHO) PS Pirwadhai, when contacted, said that police were hunting for the killers. He said that police teams were also sent to Mandi to nab the killers.
