The Election Commission of Pakistan on Friday directed different state institutions including FBR and the State Bank of Pakistan to submit details about potential election candidates within 24 hours.

“No institution is allowed to withhold information be it good or bad,” Khan said, adding the ECP’s IT system has been linked with these institutions.
He said that ECP doesn’t have any friends or foes, adding the commission would not bow to any pressure.
“ECP will neither benefit anybody nor it will take pressure from anybody,” he added.
He said all these measures are being taken to properly scrutinize candidates who would be filing nomination papers from March 25 to contest the next general elections.
