Religious parties to finalise alliance next week

ISLAMABAD - The main religio-political parties of the country are all set to make strategies including seat adjustment and steps to restore Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) before next election.

“Main religio-political parties will hold a decisive meeting in next week to discuss all important matters including coming elections strategy,” said a senior member of religio-political party talking to TheNation. The members of all religio-political party will gather at Islamabad to chalk out strategy for different important matters.
Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F), Jamiat Ulema-e-Pakistan (JUP), Markazi Jamiat Ahl-e-Hadith, Tehreek-e-Jafria will likely to participate in the crucial meeting, they said, adding that the participation of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) is still not sure despite the formal invitation.
The meeting will finalise matters regarding restoration of MMA in any case if member of any splinter group would not participate in this meeting, said an erstwhile member of MMA. The conflicted matters on some of the issues between Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam(JUI-F) and Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) will also come under discussion in the meeting, they said.
