ISLAMABAD - Islamabad police on Tuesday arrested a man impersonating himself as a judge, police said. According top police, the accused called a managing director of OGDCL on Tuesday and introduced himself as a judge. He told the MD of OGDCL that being a judge, he has excellent relationship with a judge of Peshawar HC who is currently hearing a case involving kickbacks of million of rupees in OGDCL.
“I can settle your case. Contact me ASAP,” accused told MD of OGDCL over telephone, a police source quoting MD said. This prompted the MD of OGDCL to call the police and brought the case into their knowledge.
Acting swiftly on the complaint of managing director of OGDCL, police arrested the accused and started investigating the case. No FIR was registered until filing of this report.
