45 vehicles fined for misbehaving with passengers

ISLAMABAD - Secretary Islamabad Transport Authority (ITA), Khawja Maqbool Mustafa, during surprise traffic checking in the area of Jhangi Saidan, imposed fines amounting Rs 21,500 on the public transport vehicles plying on the long route for misbehaving with passengers.

Secretary ITA has said that action against the offenders had been taken on the increasing complaints of commuters regarding misbehaviour and over charging by the long route transporters on the said route. He also challaned 45 public transport vehicles on that count and issued on the spot directions to the transporters to behave decently with the commuters and charge the fixed fares failing which stern action would be taken against the violators.
