RAWALPINDI - Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) Rawalpindi, has cancelled the Eid holidays of its field staff in order to ensure water supply during Eid-ul-Azha.
Sources said that around 100 WASA workers have been given special directions to remain present during their duty hours for the four Eid holidays. The step has been taken to deal with any difficulty encountered by the citizens regarding sewerage system and water availability, sources added. Assistant Director Afzal Baloch has been appointed as duty officer who will be present in his office during Eid days. In addition, side-offices of WASA will also remain open.
