Chairman of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and other officials are to appear on Tuesday before the three-member bench of the Supreme Court headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry in connection with non-implementation of the verdict in the Rental Power Plants (RPPs) case. NAB officials who have been issued notices include Col (Retd) Shehzad, Kamran Qaiser, Raza Khan and all the supervisors and investigation officials. During the last year, the chief justice refused a request by NAB’s deputy prosecutor general for closed door hearing of the case. The court had warned that NAB would be held responsible if any of the accused fled from the country.
