Overhead bridge construction demanded

RAWALPINDI  - After the shifting of the courts to newly constructed Judicial Complex, litigants, chained criminals and lawyers have to face server problems in crossing the road between the judicial complex and Rawalpindi District Courts.
Plaintiffs, talking to this agency, said that there was no safe way to get to the judicial complex from the district courts for trial of their pending cases, adding that as many as 11 litigants have been injured in traffic incidents during first five days of shifting of some courts to judicial complex. They said that plaintiffs, lawyers and chained criminals had to cross the main road with heavy traffic as a large number of persons could be seen on both sides of road waiting to cross the road.
It is relevant to mention here that City District Government Rawalpindi had not constructed overhead bridge or underpass so as to provide safe passage to public moving from district courts to judicial complex, which poses serious threats to those crossing heavy traffic.
They demanded CDGR authorities to construct the much needed pedestrian bridge in order to provide safe passage to all the commuters.
