Renovation of Harley Street demanded

RAWALPINDI – The streets of posh residential area, Harley Street of Cantonment Broad Rawalpindi have been in dilapidated condition due to the slackness of authority concerned.
Residents of the locality talking to INP complained that despite paying regular taxes to concerned authority, no development work had been carried out in the area, as there was hardly any street in good condition.
Muhammad Shahid, Kamran Sohail, Raja Mudasir Aziz and many other residents said that some streets have caved-in at various points while road connecting Chowk No 22 to main Harley Street and road from Gora Kabristan were also in dilapidated condition.
They lamented that streets of the area were ideal some time back but now due to the negligence the Cantonment Board it present a deserted look.
Residents demanded Cantonment Board officials to take notice of poor infrastructure in Harley Street and ensure development work in the area at the earliest.
