Police arrest 25 lawbreakers

RAWALPINDI  – Rawalpindi district Police under its ongoing drive against anti-social elements and lawbreakers have arrested 25 accused including 15 one-wheelers.Police recovered over 20 kilograms charras, seven bottles of liquor, three pistols 30 bore with five rounds while 15 motorcycles were also impounded.According to details, Kahuta police signaled to stop a car bearing registration number LZQ-0423 at barricaded Ari Syedian road but the driver tried to escape the scene. Police managed to stop the vehicle after chase at Tarkian Mor but the driver taking advantage of darkness managed to escape. Police recovered 20 kilograms charras from the vehicle.Meanwhile, New Town police arrested Mir Alam on recovery of 500 grams charras while Rawat police sent behind the bars an accused namely Haroon arrested with 105 grams charras. Another accused Hafeez was arrested with 200 grams charras. Ameen, Asmat, Khazir Shah, Qamar, Noor Khan Waseem Abbas and Shahzad were netted on recovery of drugs and illegal weapons. Waris Khan police in its crackdown against one-wheelers arrested Asad Ali, Hassan Ahmed, Hussain, Waqar Khan, Ramish, Usama, Muhammad Habib, Sher Muhammad, Haseeb, Kashi, Hussain, Shan Ali, Basit, Ubaid and Sohaib. A case has been registered against the accused under motor vehicle ordinance.
