Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani on Tuesday said only people have the right to choose their leaders, adding that the result of election will be accepted with an open heart.

During five-year term, army has fully supported the democratic process in accordance with the constitutional aspects, he said, adding that even today he supports transparent elections and peaceful transfer of power.
General Kayani said he knows that people are expressing suspicion but army’s good intentions are in front of everyone through its practical work.
He also said that army has assured its full support to the Election Commission during general elections.
