ISLAMABAD - Muslims are facing numerous problems and challenges today that can only be resolved by following teachings of Holy Muhammad Prophet (PBUH).
Speakers expressed these views during a Mehfil-e-Milad organized for ladies in connection with the holy month of Rabi-ul-Awal, here at Rawalpindi Arts Council (RAC). Senator Najma Hameed and Member National Assembly Tahira Aurangzeb along with Naheed Manzoor were guests of honor.
The Mehfil-e-Milad started with recitation of verses from Holy Quran.
Speaking on the occasion, Senator Najma Hameed said the holy month of Rabi-ul-Awal holds special significance for Muslims and special events are arranged to pay homage to Holy Prophet (PBUH).
“Teachings and practices of Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) hold equal significance for Muslims in every age. We as a Muslims cannot succeed in this life and life hereafter without following in the footprints of Holy Prophet (PBUH),” she added.
Addressing the gathering, Member National Assembly Tahira Aurangzeb said that naats recited at the Mehfil-e-Milad reflect love and respect of Muslims for Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
“Solution to our social, economic and family problems exists in following teachings of Holy Prophet (PBUH). Such ceremonies give us peace of mind and soul,” she added.
Naheed Manzoor said that RAC maintained its tradition to organize mehfil-e-milad for ladies in the holy month of Rabi-ul-Awal. She said that its our religious obligation to celebrate the month enthusiastically.
Those who recited naats and mesmerized the atmosphere include Sana Nazar, Nazima Malik, Asma Shaukat, Zuhra Haidri, Saher Fattah, Hina Ghazanfar of government Viqar un Nisa Degree College, Mahnoor Malik, Somiyah Batool, Bushra Shaheen of Government Degree College Dhoke Mangtal, Sughra Bibi, and Ayesha Khan. Later, prayers were also offered for the prosperity of the country and unity of Muslim Ummah.
