Former Minster for Health, Makhdoom Shahabuddin Wednesday filed an interim bail plea in Lahore High Court (LHC) pertaining to Ephedrine case. Makhdoom Shahabuddin’s counsel, Advocate Shah Khawar filed the plea in Rawalpindi Bench of LHC, the petitioner submitted in the application that issuance of arrest warrant against Makhdoom Shahabuddin before the election of Prime Minister was based on malafide attention to bare the petitioner to appear in the election. Advocate Shah Khawar said in the application that the court would accept the plea as there was no evidence against the petitioner in the case. Meanwhile, the court would hear the interim bail plea of the petitioner today (Thursday).
