PTI may move SC

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has decided to file a constitutional petition against the ruling of the Speaker National Assembly Dr Fehmida Mirza in the PM disqualification reference.
The decision came in the backdrop of recent decision of the government that it would not go into appeal against Supreme Court’s verdict on PM’s disqualification in a contempt of court case. Earlier, Chairman PTI Imran Khan was of the view that his party would not go for agitation against the government as the PM was holding a chance of right to appeal against his conviction.
Chairman PTI Imran Khan is expected to announce the decision of moving the Supreme Court over the issue while addressing a public gathering on Sunday (today) here at Liaqat Bagh, party sources said. Dr Arif Alvi, Central Secretary General of PTI, while talking to TheNation said the party was weighing this option and deliberations in this regard are still in progress.
