ISLAMABAD - Ministry of Capital Administration and Development Wednesday promoted 569 teachers of model colleges through Time Scale Promotion Formula (TSPF) through a notification.

According to the notification, seven Professors including 3 males and 4 females have been promoted from Grade 20 to 21 while 38 male Associate Professors and 43 female Associate Professors have been promoted from Grade 19 to 20. Eight Deputy Headmistress have been promoted from Grade 19 to 20 while 23 Assistant Headmistress have been promoted from Grade 18 to 19.
As many as 30 male and 64 female Assistant Professors have been promoted from Grade 18 to 19. As many as 24 Women lecturers and 14 male lecturers have been promoted from Grade 17 to 18. 258 Junior Lady Teachers have been promoted from Grade 16 to 17 while 41 Senior Lady Teachers have been promoted from Grade 17 to 18. The promotion of around 24 teachers has remained subject to the provision of their ACRs. Talking to APP, Director Model Colleges, Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) Tariq Masood said that upgradation of scales through TSPF was longstanding demand of the teachers who had been rendering valuable services from the last many years.
The fulfilment of their demand reflect the present democratic government’s steps toward promotion of education in the country, he observed.
The decision of upgradation of teachers was announced by former Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani on November 8, 2010 on “Salam Teachers Day”.
