ISLAMABAD  - Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar called on Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf at the PM's House Wednesday and congratulated him on assumption of the office of the Chief Executive of the country, adding that it had clearly sent the message the world over of the continuity of the democratic process and the functioning of the democratic institutions in Pakistan. The foreign minister also apprised the Prime Minister of the emerging regional scenario including the ongoing dialogue with India and the situation in Afghanistan. The foreign minister said that third round of National Security Dialogue (NSD) was held yesterday with UK National Security Advisor, which focused on counterterrorism, regional security and situation in Afghanistan.The Prime Minister thanked the foreign minister for her felicitation and said that democratic government policies, both at home and abroad, should continue to promote the national interests by projecting democracy, rule of law and the constitution.
