RAWALPINDI – Four unknown assailants shot dead a woman and injured her father and two brothers with dagger in Lari Malana, the area within the precincts of Police Station Rawat, informed police here on Wednesday.

A case has been filed against the murderers while interrogation was launched, police said. Police, while quoting the statement of the applicant Ibrar Hussain, who also got injured, said that the family members were sleeping in their house when four unknown assailants jumped the wall of their house in and fired gun shots at Nasira Sultana killing her on the spot.
Hearing the noise of firing, the father of the woman Malik Ameer and two brothers Ibrar Hussain and Waqar Hussain also awaked but the assailants also attacked them and maimed them with daggers.
After committing the crime, the unknown men managed to escape from the scene, police said adding that interrogation was on with no arrest so far after filing a case. Police also removed the dead body to District Headquarter Hospital (DHQ) for autopsy and injured persons for medical treatment.
