ISLAMABAD - Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) on Monday forwarded the proposal seeking commencing of summer vacations from mid of June to the Capital Administration and Development Division (CA&DD) for final nod. Talking to APP, Spokesman of FDE Waqar Ashraf said the directorate has sent its consent to announce summer vacations from June 16 to August 26 in its educational institutes to Secretary CA&DD Imtiaz Inayat.
Ilahi and the matter will be decided soon.
The directorate has decided to delay the summer vacations this year so that the students can have holidays during the whole month of Ramazan and can celebrate the religious festival of Eid-ul-Fitr in befitting manner.
Last year, the vacations were announced from June 1 to August 10 and then extended by the directorate till after Eid-ul-Fitr. Students are anxiously waiting for the decision of summer vacations as they feel difficult to attend the institutes in scorching heat of summer. Some are planning to spent the vacations in their hometown and enjoy with their relatives.
