ISLAMABAD - The Roots National Institute of Teacher Training and Education (RNITTE) marked another history by holding the 8th Teacher Development Conference 2013, said a press release. The second day of the conference was full of intellect and learning. It was held with the theme Children Want Change which focused on connection with the world of collaboration, innovation, communication and change.
The 2nd day’s sitting brought together leading national and international speakers like Mr Abbas Husain Director Teachers Development Centre, Senior Associate Training Solution, Mr Umair Jaliwala Director, School of Leadership Founder, Torque Executive Committee Member, Dr CJ Dubash Executive Vice Rector Dean Faculty of Education FC College Lahore, Khadija Bashir Project Manager- Intel Pakistan, Mariyum Orangzeb- WWF who enlightened the critical thinking and injected new ideas into the conference audience of delegates comprising RMS CEO Chaudhry Faisal Mushtaq TI, RMS Director Mrs. Anna Faisal, General Manager Mrs. Aliya Asim Head Mistress’, Branch Heads, Academic Coordinators and the Teaching faculty.
Mr Abbas Husain left all the audience mesmerised and hypnotised with his words. He enlightened the conference delegates about “Why Children Want Change” Understanding the difference between teaching and learning, CREATE classrooms that close the gap.
Conference Trainer Mr Umair Jaliawala elaborated the topic “Unlocking Motivation and Enthusiasm Amongst Teachers & Students.” He also engrossed the interest of the delegates by significant philosophy “Emotional, Sexual and Psychological Stereotyping of Female begins when the doctor says “It’s a girl".
Dr CJ Dubash investigated a new challenge for millennial that is “Are Teachers Using Yesterdays’ Training with Today’s Students? Relevance, Responsiveness and Realism on classroom Practices.
Mrs Aliya Asim- General Manager RMS elaborated on the topic “The Holistic Child Development Approach of Roots Curriculum for over one quarter of a century” The scope and Pedagogy of RMS qualification & curriculum promoting skills knowledge and values approach.
CEO RMS & Founder RNITTE Chaudhry Faisal Mushtaq-TI said: “Roots Millennium Schools understand that the future is not someplace we are going to but on that we consciously shape with our thoughts and actions. This Teacher’s Development Conference 2013 is all about providing teachers the opportunity to learn the art of shaping the future of Millennial in their teaching practices and also equip the teachers with the tools to prepare students to be leaders and agents of change in a climate in which the voice of students is sought and honoured. The aim of this conference is to bring teachers into direct contact with leading scholars, academia and educational thinkers into a stimulating environment surrounded by learning and academic resources. The aim is to support and invigorate classroom teaching with new ideas and energy, new texts and techniques, new content and connection.
Teacher’s Development Conference promised to provide the teachers with a platform to express themselves not only as individuals but more importantly as the Pakistani nation and allow them to prove their mettle and it has once again fulfilled its promise.
