Tauqir Sadiq handed over to Pakistan consulate in Dubai

Former chairman Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) Tauqir Sadiq has been handed over to Pakistan consulate in Dubai on Wednesday.

According to Media Reports, Tauqir Sadiq, the key player in the alleged mega scandal of Rs82 billion, was arrested in Dubai on Tuesday by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) team and Pakistani police.
He is likely to be sent to Pakistan in next 48 hours. The police is also trying to send his front man, Sajid Ahmed, to Pakistan but legal documentation is needed for this.
It may be mentioned that the Supreme Court of Pakistan had issued orders for the arrest of Tauqir Sadiq.
He is accused of misusing authority, embezzling funds and causing Rs82 billion losses to the national exchequer.
