CHI - Police have once again get the license to kill the religious parties activists in the name of militants, whereas the background history of these fake encounters reveals a race of promotion among the police officers.
According to the report, police have frequently killing the suspect militants, after capturing them, in alleged encounters to avoid the legal proceedings.
The recent encounter took place within the jurisdiction of Gadap Town police station which depicts a terrible outlook of police department.
An experienced police officer Rao Anwar claimed that at least five militants had been killed, while eight of their accomplices managed to escape.
It is pertinent to mention here that not a single bullet hit the police mobile and seen at the crime scene, where the encounter reportedly took place.
If the deceased persons were of militant background, then why they did not retaliate, said Muhammad Ali, an activist of an outlawed organisation. He explained that a militant means a trained fighter and how the police tackled them without receiving even a single injury.
Ali further explained that training and expertise of police personnel are not enough to protect them without loss. He pointed out five innocents, who were killed by the police as suspected militants, were supposed enough to fight with dozens of police personnel.
He cited the real encounter that took place in the same town couple of months ago. In that police action, the Anti Violence and Crime Cell faced heavy loss and not a single militant was captured.
That encounter showed the capability of police department at large as some dozen police personnel including the chief of AVCC and two personnel of a secret agency sustained injures, while two security personnel also lost their lives in that encounter, he said.
Source in the police department on condition of anonymity told that police have kept into custody some 17 alleged militants, who were captured from different parts of the City couple of weeks ago.
He said Special Investigation Unit (SIU) had shown the arrest of some five militants from Mangopir area and claimed that the arrested culprits were planning to sabotage the peace of City, but residents of the area did not witness any exchange of fire in that drama of capture.
Source added that some seven alleged militants were arrested from outside of Buraq fuel pump at Super Highway. They were kept in custody by the secret agency for about one month and after interrogating them, their other accomplices were also captured during raids in different areas. Rest of the captured militants would be shown by the police in near future, he said.
There are number of other militants present in the City and such kind of encounters will be driven to take revenge and disturb the peace of the City.
Police source pointed out the police officials want to get promotions through such fake encounters and the arrest of alleged criminals.
Moreover, they are in action again for seeking further promotions through repeating the same kind of activities. He added that 99 per cent of criminals and militants arrested by these police officers, got bail because of lack of evidence, but the police officers got their promotions.
He further pointed out that there are certain officers who have reached at the slot of SSP from ASI in just couple of years.
