Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has strongly condemned recent increase in the prices of petroleum products, terming it as a conspiracy and cruelty to the people.

The government, despite the opposition by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), pushed the petrol price by Rs.3.53 per liter and diesel by Rs.4.35, exposing people to new heightened concerns regarding the potential increment in their routine expenses.
Besides, kerosene oil was jacked up by Rs.3.79, high speed diesel Rs.4.35 while the price of light speed diesel soared by Rs.3.93/lit.
After the hike, the new price of petrol is Rs.106.60/lit, kerosene oil 103.69, high speed diesel Rs.113.56, while light speed diesel stands at new price of Rs.98.26.
