Altaf pays tribute to party martyrs

KARACHI - Muttahida Qaumi Movement Chief Altaf Hussain has said sacred blood of the martyrs will not go in vain and movement will reach its destiny through everlasting sacrifices.

Altaf Hussain paid homage to the martyrs of massacre of September 30, 1988 in Hyderabad and October 1, 1988 in Karachi. In a statement issued on occasion of the anniversaries of two tragedies, he said that a heinous conspiracy was plotted by the enemies of Sindh and the city Karachi and Hyderabad were soaked in blood.
The sacred blood of the martyrs will not go in vain and the movement based on righteousness will definitely reach its destiny through everlasting sacrifices of the people. He called it an attempt to shatter the unity of the people of Sindh and declared that Sindh will always remain the land of love and peace following the teaching of great saint Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai and all efforts at sowing the seeds of hatred in the people will fail. He paid rich tributes to the martyrs and prayed for their lofty positions.
The MQM observed the 24th anniversary of martyrs of the tragedies of September 30 and October 1 in Lal Qila Ground in which fathea and recitation of Holy Quran was offered for the blessing of the souls of the martyrs. Deputy convener MQM Anis Ahmed Qaimkhani, ministers, senators, MNAs, MNAs, workers and relatives of the martyrs were also present on the occasion.
