KARACHI - Sindh Assembly Speaker Nisar Ahmed Khuhro on Tuesday rejected the allegations of Syed Jalal Shah and other nationalist leaders for his role in SA during adopting of the Sindh LG ordinance into law.Addressing a press conference at committee room of the Sindh Assembly building, he came down hard against the nationalist leader Syed Jalal Mehmood Shah, who blamed him as traitor of Sindh, saying that Jalal Shah himself was real traitor for not allowing the debate against the Kala Bag Dam during his period of deputy speaker in Sindh Assembly in 1997-98.It may be noted that the Jalal Shah had criticized on the Speaker Sindh Assembly Nisar Ahmed Khuhro over his role in facilitating of anti-Sindh local government law, labeling the Khuhro as traitor like his uncle Ayub Khuhro, who imposed one-unit rule in the Sindh. Reacting harshly over the allegation of the nationalist leader, Speaker Sindh Assembly said when people across the province raised their voice against Kala Bag dam, and anti-Kala Bag dam resolution was being tabled in the provincial assembly, Syed Jalal Shah was deputy speaker of Sindh Assembly who tried hard to abrogate the resolution. Speaker recalled that the Jalal Shah had arranged a meeting between Jeay Sindh Quami Mahaz and Muttahida Quami Movement at Haider Manzil Karachi for rapprochement between them.Speaker dispelled the impression that voice of protesting members of provincial assembly on the floor against SPLGO was not listened, saying that the protesting MPAs of Sindh Assembly lost their chance of opposition of the local government as he himself tried to persuade them to take part in the debate on the law but they did not honor his ruling. Khuhro said that local government law has been passed by majority of the members of provincial assembly and now assembly is open for amendments if needed, adding when it will be put into practice then people would come to know the fruitful results of the new.Speaker said that the parties who protesting against the local govt would take part in the local government elections under the new law or not.  Khuhro said that other allies were also taken into confidence for new local government system and were asked for their proposals for local system but they didn’t forward the suggestions.He also dispelled the impressions that two systems have been created in the province.END
