Vocational training being provided to poor

KARACHI - Vocational training is being imparted to poor and needy youngsters under the Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Youth Development Programme.

An official of the Sindh Youth Affairs Department said here on Friday that Basic training is being made available on the directive of the Sindh Minister for Youth Affairs, Syed Faisal Ali Subzwari. He said that some 80 boys and girls from various districts of the province were being trained as electricians, plumbing, mobile phone repairing as well as sewing and embroidery etc. The training programme is spread over a period of three months and stipend of Rs5,500 per month would be provided to those from the interior of Sindh and Rs2,500 for those from Karachi.
The training, it was pointed out, would help the youngsters to be able to earn their livelihood and play a role towards development in the society.
