4,466 profiteers fined since start of Ramazan

 KARACHI   - During the first half of Ramazan, 4,466 profiteers and hoarders have been issued challans and the fine of Rs 48,34,450 has been recovered for selling goods at higher prices than those fixed by the Government. In a statement here on Sunday, Commissioner Karachi Roshan Ali Shaikh said that 134 profiteers have been put behind the bars over this period.
 He said that crack down continued against the shopkeepers including push-carts, patharas for selling good at high rates and not displaying the official price lists.
