KARACHI - On the appeal of the Difa-e Pakistan Council (DPC), the Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi will hold a protest rally against the reopening of the NATO supply routes by the Pakistan government. The rally will be brought out from Jama Masque, Binnori Town, after Friday prayers to the Quaid’s mausoleum.Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi chief Muhammad Hussain Mahenti and other DPC leaders would address the rally. Meanwhile, Jamaat-e Islami Karachi chapter General Secretary Naseem Siddiqui said the government had put on stake the national prestige and sovereignty of the country. “The government should have not suspended the NATO supply from Pakistan if it was to be restored. The people of the country would not accept this decision and would stage protests across the country against it.”He said the United States was carrying out massacre of the innocent Afghan Muslims while Pakistan government was providing reinforcement to the tyrant forces. He said the JI had already warned the government against restoring the NATO supply routes.
