KARACHI- An strategy is being evolved to make the Saddar Car Parking Plaza a profitable venture.

This was stated by the Municipal Commissioner of KMC, Matanat Ali Khan. He was chairing a meeting of the officers of the auction committee of the Parking Plaza on Wednesday. Municipal Commissioner said that the Parking Plaza has been constructed in the busy commercial area in the interest of the people.
Meanwhile, in view of increasing traffic flow, frequent traffic jams and related problems, it is necessary to shift all inter-city bus terminals out of the city. Commissioner Roshan Ali Shaikh, apprised the delegation of the problems of inter-city bus terminal including those at Cantonment Railway Station, Taj Medical Complex Saddar.The delegation members were of the view that the land allocated for inter-city terminal was quite away from the city and that a place nearer be made available.
The Commissioner assured the delegation that the inter-city bus terminal would be set up keeping in view the convenience of the people and in this connection care would also be taken of the transporters’ association.
For provision of inter-city bus terminal he also sought details from the Deputy Commissioners concerned regarding provision of land.
The Commissioner said that it would be the endeavour of the administration that the people be provided best possible facilities of transport to the people travelling from one city to another.
