‘Focus on people-to-people contacts’

KARACHI - US Consul General Michael Dodman said Wednesday that his focus was to promote business relations and people-to-people contact between the United States and Pakistan through exchange programme.

In his brief welcome remarks at the iftar dinner hosted by him at his residence here, Dodman said said Karachi is an important city and a hub of economic activities. “I am also spending lot of time to meet business leaders, politicians, social workers, media persons and notables”, he added. He also introduced the deputed cultural affairs and information officers at the Consulate and said that the valuable services of Karachi Consulate staff is being acknowledged in Washington DC.
