KARACHI – Police have failed to track down the assailants involved in the murder of vice-principal of the seminary, Mufti Abdul Majeed Deenpuri and decided to get assistance of foreign forensic experts for fine results of footages found from the crime scene.

Police high ups have constituted an inquiry team headed by district east DIG Aleem Jaffery to probe the case. District east Investigations SSP Khawaja Naveed, senior investigation officer, SSP Niaz Khosa, DSP Nisar Qaimkhani and Station Investigation Officer (SIO), Rao Zulfiqar are including in the investigation team.
Investigators said that as they had got blurred footage, there was no clear image of the culprits that could helpful in identifying the culprits. They said that it had yet to be decided either the footage should be sent to the Scotland Yard police or Federal Bureau of Investigation as both have the capability to work on these kinds of footages. They further said that the estimated cost would be Rs3 million.
